Laser Engraved QR Codes and barcode engraving are a regular request at Total Industrial Engraving. Firstly, we have been laser engraving these for many years now. So we can laser engrave these onto any of the material we engrave.

You can have your QR codes or barcodes laser engraved onto stainless steel tags. Or your we can engrave QR codes and barcodes onto your Traffolyte labels, linking to your website or OEM drawings etc. You may need your anodised aluminium parts marking with not just your logo, but a unique QR code too.

How can I order laser engraved QR codes?

We have had customers who have ordered by sending DXF files for us to import or similarly PDFs. Also a popular one is to send the QR codes as separate JPEGs in a zipped file. Because of this we can just drop the QR code onto the design. We don’t suggest you include the text element of your design in any jpeg as the quality is always lower than if we use a font and set it up that way. It makes it easier for you that way too as you can bulk generate the code and they will save as the serial number that they will need to match for example.

Double checking as standard

We always test the QR codes scan prior to dispatch. We check where they scan to also. This is because when you are doing a large run where the information changes on every tag. It can be very easy to not have the serial number matching the code and the last thing you want is to be sending your customers to the wrong place. However we do the checking, so you don’t have to.

What are laser engraved QR codes and barcode engraving used for?

We are all seeing QR codes regularly when we are out and about now. Undoubtedly because they have so many uses. One of the most common places being on table numbers to enable us to place order and pay bills using our phones. They have revolutionised how we direct people to information that we need them to see.

We often suggest people add them onto their rating plates etc. It is much easier for your customers to scan a code than type in a url. Especially if you have a long domain (like we do). Those in the know will know they can use www.tie.uk.com for a quicker version of ours but not everyone has that luxury.

Barcodes have been popular for even longer than QR codes and are brilliant for asset tags or storage vessels for quick and easy scanning to check stock levels etc.
