Laser Cutting Perspex

Total Industrial Engraving decided to have a little fun with our Gravograph LS900 laser engraving machine! We thought we would see just what it could really do! Firstly we laser cut perspex to create many parts. Secondly we have to try to assemble them. Finally we came out with a model dinosaur and a model Eiffel Tower. We couldn't resist showing you how they turned out.

So, how is this relevant?

This was just a bit of a fun experiment. We used it to help us get to know the capabilities of our laser engraving machine. However this helped us to learn what we can do for our customers too. For laser cutting we need to get the files in a certain format. This is because we need to be able to create a toolpath. Therefore we need a dxf or eps ideally. We can, in some cases, create a toolpath ourselves by overlaying an image file.

We can laser cut many different materials including, Perspex, acrylic, engraving laminates, wood, wood laminates.

They can be used for:

  • Mimics/control panel fascias - they can be reverse engraved or printed if you need multiple colours. They are printed on the back so the printed/engraving is protected.
  • Key tags - hotel and locker key tags with logos
  • Signs and House Signs
  • Point of Sale - product stands etc
  • LED Light stands

If you'd like something producing and you aren't sure of the best process or material, we'll gladly offer our opinion. We have many years of experiance between the team now and can usually point you in the right direction, in the rare event that we can't do it ourselves.
